counteracting novocain?

I just came from the dentist and one who side of my face is numb from the Novocain. I find it very uncomfortable. Is there some way to force it to wear off faster?

Is there some way for you to post this in the correct forum? ;) moving to....I dont know.....Healthy living?? Somebody help me out here please, i really dont know where it should go....However one thing i DO know is that QUESTIONS ABOUT THE EFFECTS OF DRUGS DO NOT BELONG IN DC!!:D
 
For the record, the only thing you can do to make it wear off faster is to massage the numb area. It should help get more blood flow to that area...
 
Sounds like you are a slow metabolizer of the -cain family. You can try applying heat to speed up the local metabolic rate of the nerves in your face. Apart from that, I'm afraid there's not much you can do but wait.
